The 64 Express operated its maiden voyage December 1^st, 2008. This monumental voyage required an enormous coordinated effort between the Ports of Virginia and Richmond, and was a resounding succes.

This voyage marks the beginning of reduction in highway, bridge & tunnel congestion in Hampton Roads, and the environmental impact created by trucks along the I-64 corridor.
